You're reading: Deschytsia working to restore Ukrainian-Polish cooperation instruments

Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Andriy Deschytsia has said that he is working on the restoration of the existing tools of the Ukrainian-Polish cooperation, which were suspended because of the events in both countries - the presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine, as well as the change of government in Poland.

“In fact, at present it is necessary to resume the intensive contacts at government level that existed a few months ago. As a rule, the elections and changes of governments do not contribute to the intensity of contacts between heads of departments and heads of government. Therefore, we are waiting for the completion of the formation of a new government in Ukraine so that we could restore the direct contacts between the two countries as soon as possible,” Deschytsia said in an interview to Interfax-Ukraine.

In particular, they were currently discussing the issue of holding the consultation committee of presidents, during which we will discuss the schedule of meetings of the Ukrainian and Polish leaders for this and the next year.
