The Moscow Arbitration Court has overturned the suit of Roshen LLC (the Russian subsidiary of Ukraine's Roshen Confectionery Corporation, which is owned by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko) against Russia's holding United Confectioners (UNICONF).

Roshen asked the court to protect its business reputation.

According to an Interfax-AFI correspondent, the decision to leave the claim without consideration was made due to the fact that there is another similar claim in proceedings, the main meeting on which is scheduled for September.

At the meeting the representative of the plaintiff explained that the lawsuit resulted from a technical error due to the fact that the claim was sent in electronic and paper forms.

The claimant’s representative told reporters the lawsuit was filed in connection with the fact that UNICONF sent a letter to a number of deputies of the State Duma, in which Roshen is accused of committing criminal offenses.

“The matter, in particular, concerns the manufacture of products dangerous to life and health, as well as disorders associated with the imports of goods to the territory of the Russian Federation with tax evasion,” he said.
