The Central Election Commission (CEC) does not have grounds to say that the election at any of 198 constituencies is under a threat of failure, CEC Chairman Mykhailo Okhendovsky has said.

Commenting on reports that the election in Volnovakha (Donetsk region) is allegedly under a threat of failure, he said at a briefing on Sunday, Oct. 26 that there could be some problems at certain polling stations there.

“However, we absolutely don’t have any grounds to say that the election in the constituency is under a threat of failure. There are no grounds to say about this regarding any other constituency among all 198 constituencies where the election is held today,” he said.

Okhendovsky said that polling stations have been opened in those countries where time allows and in general, the CEC does not expect that there will be any problems with voting abroad.
