You're reading: Cabinet appoints new Deputy Economic Development and Trade Ministers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Natalia Mykolska and Yulia Klymenko as Deputy Economic Development and Trade Ministers, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

“Mykolska will be responsible for the development of products and services exports, national producers entering new markets, and will also represent Ukraine at the World Trade Organization (WTO),” reads the statement. “Klymenko will be responsible for continuing the rebuilding and reform of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine making it the leader in line with state administration standards.”

Mykolska graduated from Lviv Ivan Franko National University and Europa-Kolleg University in Hamburg, Germany. She previously represented the interests of Ukrainian businesses at the WTO and protected national and international producers during trade investigations.

In 2014 Mykolska was recognized as the number one expert on international trade by the Ukrainian Law Firms 2014 ranking, and was named as the best lawyer in international trade by the Best Lawyers International 2014 ranking.

Klymenko graduated from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University and received an MBA from the International Management Institute in Kyiv.

Klymenko previously worked as CEO of Cantik Enterprises, marketing director of Dragon Development, managing director of Slavutich, and chief manager of the commercial department at PFTS Stock Exchange.
