You're reading: Bullet-proof vest designed in Zaporizhia receives quality certificate

A bullet-proof vest made in Zaporizhia has received a quality certificate, Chairman of Zaporizhia Regional Administration Valeriy Baranov said at a briefing on Aug. 18.

“Director of Zaporizhia Voikov Tool Plant Oleksiy Lytvyn is staying
in Kyiv now, where he is to receive the technical conditions of the
product at the Defense Ministry,” Baranov said.

He said that first 50 vests would be given to Zaporizhia residents who serve in 92nd brigade.

“The first batch of bullet-proof vests will send to our
fellow-residents via the military registration and enlistment office.
I’ve agreed on production of a first batch of vests this Saturday (Aug.23) with
top managers of OJSC Zaporizhstal,” he said.

He also said that as of Aug.18, 12,910 displaced persons from Donbas
were staying in the region. A total of 850 displaced people went home to
the liberated towns.

“Around 1,500 people are living on the territory of children’s camps
and recreation bases, and for the winter period they will need adapted
premises,” Baranov said.

As reported, Zaporizhia designed a bullet-proof vest made at four
enterprises: Dniprospetsstal, Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhia Voikov Tool Plant
and Selena firm.

The cost of its manufacture does not exceed Hr 8,000.
