You're reading: Belarus, Visegrad Group mull consequences of Ukrainian crisis

MINSK - Chief analysts from the foreign ministries of Belarus and the Visegrad Group countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic) are meeting in Minsk on April 4 to discuss the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis, a spokesperson for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told Interfax.

“At the talks, the parties are planning to discuss a broad range of issues, including consequences of the crisis in Ukraine in the global and regional context, prospects for rapprochement between the European and Eurasian economic unions, development of the bilateral relationships of Belarus and the Visegrad Group countries with world leaders: China, Russia and the United States,” the spokesperson said.

Furthermore, the attendees will discuss Belarus’ participation in Eastern Partnership and exchange their experience in organizing analytical forecasts.

“Consultations at the level of chief analysts of the foreign ministries of Belarus and the Visegrad Group countries are taking place in the Minsk for the first time,” the spokesperson said.
