You're reading: Avakov says new Lviv patrol police service to start operating in next few months

Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has said that a new patrol police service will start operating in Lviv in the next few months.

“In [the next] few months Lviv will receive a new patrol police service,” Avakov said during a working visit to Lviv region, while commenting on the beginning of the recruitment process for the new units, the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported on April 19.

Avakov said that candidates can now send their applications to join the patrol police service. He said that the Interior Ministry expects young educated people to take part in the recruitment process who will accept the new police’s motto “Serve and Defend”. They will receive a new uniform, a Hr 8,000-10,000 salary and new duties.

The press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine has said that the deadline to join the new police patrol units in Lviv and Odesa is May 13, 2015. Those interested should write an electronic application on the website of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
