You're reading: 1500 first aid kits for Ukrainian Armed Forces arrive from United States

Kyiv - Approximately 1.500 Individual First Aid Kits given by the United States as assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived in Kyiv and cleared customs on June 21.

The kits were provided at the request of Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

“The shipment is part of a U.S. non-lethal aid package for Ukraine totaling more than $23 million and also including body armor, night vision goggles, communications equipment, and other materiel to facilitate the operations of the Ukrainian military and State Border Guard Service,” reads the statement.

The embassy stressed that the kits “will increase soldier survivability during military operations in the field, saving lives.”

“U.S. security assistance to Ukraine is ongoing and further assistance shipments are planned,” reads the statement.
