Rostov-on-Don - The health of Ukrainian servicemen treated in the Gukovo hospital in the Rostov region is improving, a source in the regional medical community told Interfax on Tuesday, July 22.

“The Gukovo hospital is treating nine injured Ukrainians: three are
staying at the intensive care unit and six in the surgery department.
Their condition has improved a bit,” the source said.

He added that Russian doctors were ready to discharge ten Ukrainian
servicemen who were admitted to the Gukovo hospital last week and
transferred to the Zverevo hospital in a later period. A decision on the
time of their discharge is being made.

“Ten servicemen will be discharged within days. According to
tentative reports, they will be transferred to Russian border guards,”
the source continued.

The Gukovo hospital admitted 20 Ukrainian servicemen last week. Four
of them were in serious condition, and one died last Monday, July 21.

Two Ukrainian border guards were taken to the Kuibyshevo district
hospital in the same period. Their condition was critical. One border
guard died and the other was moved to the Rostov-on-Don hospital.
