Kharkiv - Negotiations on the agreement regarding the establishment of a free trade area (FTA) with Ukraine will be resumed in the near future, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yonet Can Tezel has said.

“We want to increase the volume of trade with Ukraine. We want to sign an agreement on the establishment of a free trade zone. Due to the recent events this negotiation process slowed somewhat, but in no time it will be resumed,” the ambassador told journalists in Kharkiv.

He did not mention the possible date of signing the agreement on a free trade zone.

“We are ready, but there are technical issues that need discussion,” he said.
