The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has called on UEFA to punish the Russian Football Union (RFU) for holding matches under its auspices in Crimea and for the participation of Crimean clubs in Russian competitions and expects the UEFA executive committee to make a respective decision on Dec. 4, FFU President Anatoliy Konkov has said.

“We, on behalf of the FFU executive committee, put a direct, clear and concrete question to UEFA as to what kind of punishment the RFU will receive for the fact that it acts illegally, bypassing the charter and all regulating documents. We have not received the answer so far. We’ll wait for it on Dec. 4,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday after a meeting of the FFU executive committee.

As reported, UEFA President Michel Platini said at a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Nov. 21 that UEFA would make a final decision on Crimean clubs at a meeting of its executive committee in Lausanne on Dec. 4.
