Zhukovsky, Moscow region - The sanctions introduced against Russia will not affect sales of Russian military products, a Rosoboronexport representative said on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Technology in Machine-Building exhibition.

“Our arms markets have not changed because of the sanctions.
Purchases of our arms will not be decreased,” the representative said.

As to prospects of continuing supplies of helicopter equipment to
Afghanistan, the representative said: “as the Americans withdraw their
contingent the Afghans will make further purchases.”

“Even Americans say that if the political opportunity existed, they
would purchase our helicopters for the U.S. army,” head of the
Rosoboronexport delegation at the exhibition Igor Sevastyanov said.
