Moscow - The measures to increase Russia's defense potential, including in Crimea and Sevastopol, should be implemented fully and on time due to the increased NATO activities near the Russian borders, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“The NATO group on the territory of the Eastern European states is
being demonstratively reinforced, including in the Baltic and Black
Seas. The scale and intensity of the operative and combat training are
increasing,” Putin said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council.

“In this regard, there is a need to implement all planned measures to
boost defense potential, including in Crimea and Sevastopol, where we
have to build the military infrastructure practically from scratch,
fully and on time,” he said.
