BRUSSELS - European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Dec. 18 expressed anxiety over Russia's current economic troubles.

Speaking in Brussels, Mogherini said Russia’s economic woes were a threat to Ukraine, Europe and the rest of the world as well as Russia.

She said the world had never been so dangerous and unstable, and called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to drastically revise his foreign policy.

Constructive relations between the EU and Russia would make crises easier to handle, Mogherini said.
