African swine fever has been discovered in products from another Belarusian meat-processing plant - OJSC Mogilyov Meat-packing Plant, the All-Russia Research and Development Institute of Veterinary Virology and Microbiology told.

The disease was found in half of the product samples submitted for analysis.

In early October, temporary restrictions were placed on products from Orsha Meat-Packing Plant because of African swine fever. This was the first case. After this, Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor increased monitoring on pork and pork products from Belarus.

The new case is particularly concerning due to the fact that African swine fever, according to Belarus, had not previously been registered in Mogilev Region.

Rosselkhoznadzor is not yet commenting on this information, saying only that it is in regular contact with Belarus.
