You're reading: Supreme Court to file lawsuit with Constitutional Court contesting constitutionality of lustration law

The Ukrainian Supreme Court has decided to file a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court contesting the constitutionality of some provisions of the law on lustration.

The decision was made by the Ukrainian Supreme Court plenum on Nov. 17, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported. 

Twenty-seven of the 43 judges voted in favor of filing the case with the Constitutional Court. Fifteen judges voted against the decision.
