The two leaders also discussed energy issues and European integration. In particular, Poroshenko told Merkel about his visit yesterday to Moldova, which was aimed at expressing support for EU-integration aspirations of this country which signed an association agreement with the EU on the same day as Ukraine did, i.e. on June 27, 2014.

Poroshenko also said five pro-European parties signed a coalition agreement. “Very soon Ukraine will form a new government that will work to implement the plan of reforms,” said the president.
