The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has recommended the Ministry of Finance to stipulate the hryvnia to U.S. dollar exchange rate in the national budget for the next year at the level of Hr 12.9-13 per $1, NBU Head Valeriya Gontareva has said.
Speaking in the Podrobytsi Tyzhnia program on the Inter TV channel, Gontareva reported that the current hryvnia to U.S. dollar exchange rate depends on the demand and the supply on the market.
She said that since the beginning of this year the banking system has lost Hr 116 billion in deposits.
