Head of Luhansk Regional Administration Hennadiy Moskal has said that it is necessary to lift the government's ban on the consumption of gas from underground storage facilities for the needs of chemical enterprises.

“Severodonetsk Azot should have been launched in October, but certain political games have started, and the government has decided that gas should not be provided to petrochemistry. Finally, Severodonetsk today collects from Hr 6,000 to Hr 10,000 in taxes. Tell me could the town live using these funds? It is simply doomed to wretched existence… Give them gas and tomorrow Firtash will launch the plant. Gas should not be the tool of politics and manipulations,” he said in an interview with the Ukrainska Pravda publication.

Moskal also said that it is appropriate to empower him to hold negotiations with Rosneft on the launch of Lysychansk oil refinery.
