You're reading: Lviv airport sees 16 percent fall in passenger flow in August

The Lviv International Airport in August 2014 cut passenger flows by 16 percent year-over-year, to 78,500 people, including 68,400 on international routes and 10,100 on domestic routes, according to information on the airport's Facebook page.

The airport said that in August it serviced 845 flights, including 663 international and 182 domestic flights.

The most popular directions in August 2014 were Antalya, Istanbul, Kyiv-Tivat and Warsaw.

In addition, in August 2014, the airport opened a left luggage office and commissioned a parking zone.

Lviv International Airport is located six kilometers south of central Lviv. The airport’s route network consists of 27 destinations (24 international and three domestic ones).

The new airport building, built before the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, was commissioned on Apr. 12, 2012. The new terminal, with a gross area of 39,000 square meters, has nine gates, 28 check in stands, two self-check in kiosks, 18 passport control gates and 12 security gates.
