You're reading: Finance ministry plans to meet investors to discuss debt restructuring on Oct. 5, 6

Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko will hold three presentations for investors on Ukraine's debt restructuring: a webcast on Oct. 2 in Kyiv, and two meetings and two webcasts on Oct. 5 in London, and on Oct. 6 in New York.

The ministry said on its website that the webcast on October 2 will take place at 10 a.m. Kyiv time ; the meeting in London will be held at 3 p.m. London time and in New York – at 2.30 p.m. New York time.

As reported, on Aug. 27 the Ukrainian government announced that an agreement on the exchange of $18 billion of debt was reached with the Ad Hoc Committee of Creditors which will result in the reduction of the principal of the debt by 20 percent and postponement of payments on the principal of the debt for four years, and the issue of 20-year value recovery instruments (VRI) pegged to the GDP pace.
