The State Inspectorate of Ukraine for Road Transport Safety plans to create a working group at the inspectorate of Kyiv that will jointly with the employees of the inspectorate to monitor corruption and fraud cases, and take measures in line with Ukrainian law.

The press service of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine has reported that the working group will include representatives of automobile carriers and the public, and by July 18, 2014 the carriers are to submit the names of candidates for the working group.

“The State Inspectorate of Ukraine for Road Transport Safety is protecting automobile carriers who operate under Ukrainian law. All dishonest carriers who commit corrupt actions will be thoroughly checked and deprived of a license if the infringements are found. I declare that we won’t take any compromise with bribe-givers, and each case of corruption will be sent to the law-enforcement agencies,” Head of the inspectorate Valery Chernenko said.
