TBILISI - NATO's enlargement does not jeopardize Russia or any other country, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai has said.

Appathurai, who came to Tbilisi to attend an international defense and security conference, made the statement in a program on Georgian television.

NATO believes that this process contributes to stability in Europe, he said.

The NATO summit in Warsaw will not discuss Georgia’s membership in the North Atlantic alliance, Appathurai said.

At the same time, the summit will note progress in Georgia-NATO relations and present new cooperation offers, he said.
