Tourist flow from Ukraine to Antalya (Turkey) grew by 81 percent in January through June 2016 year-over-year, to 196,262 people, the culture and information office of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine has told Interfax-Ukraine, referring to data from Antalya region.

In H1 2016 Ukraine was second after Germany in the number of tourists who visited Antalya.

In June 2016, 106,952 people visited Antalya (twice more than in June 2015).

According to the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey, in May 111,367 Ukrainian tourists visited the country, and this was 48.1 percent more than in May 2015 (75,196 people).

The share of Ukrainian travelers in May was 4.48 percent of the entire tourist flow to the country. Ukraine was sixth among the countries which citizens crossed the border with Turkey in May. Germany had 427,219 tourists who visited Turkey in May, Georgia – 229,086, UK – 219,277 and Bulgaria – 164,724.

In January-May 2016 254,056 Ukrainian visited Turkey, and this was 32.16 percent up year-over-year. Ukrainian tourists mainly went to Antalya and Mugla.
