Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski has said it is necessary to extend a mandate of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine.

During a ceremony of accepting of 20 armoured vehicles from EU to the
SMM, he said that now we discussions are carried regarding extension of
the mission’s operation for it to have more influence on the events in
the eastern Ukraine.
