MINSK - Participants in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine hope that a document on the disengagement of the parties to the Donbas conflict will be soon initialed during a video conference, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas, Martin Sajdik, has said.

The security subgroup continued the discussion on the main principles of disengaging the forces. The negotiators hope that a document on disengagement from three sections will be drafted during the video conference on July 14, Sajdik said.

The sides failed to agree on the document at their face-to-face meeting in Minsk on July 13, but the subgroup will continue working on July 13 evening and, possibly, on July 14, he added.

Besides, the subgroup on political matters focused on discussing issues to organize local elections in Donbas, Sajdik said.

The working group on politics continued the discussion on the modality of the local elections, giving special attention to their administration, he said.
