You're reading: Regulator increases retail tariffs for electricity for consumers in July by 8.2-10%

The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation has increased retail tariffs for electricity supply companies for July 2016.

According to commission resolution No. 1179 dated June 24, 2016, retail tariffs for first class consumers grow by 10% from July 1, from 130.68 kopecks to 143.75 kopecks per kilowatt-hour (VAT not included) and for second class consumers – by 8.2%, from 168.48 to 182.25 kopecks per kilowatt-hour (VAT not included).

Former member of the regulator Andriy Herus said that this is the largest growth of tariffs for industrial consumers for the whole history of the commission operation.
