Power supply to Avdiyivka in the Donetsk region has been restored, yet the Donetsk water filtering station is again incapacitated. Its transformer has been damaged by gunfire, the press center of the army operation in Donbas said in a report posted on Facebook on Friday referencing the press officer of the Ukrainian mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Vadym Bakai.

“All works have been done in the area controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, and power supply to Avdiyivka has been restored,” the report said.

As to restoration of power supply to the Donetsk water filtering station situated in the ‘gray’ zone, electrical grids were also repaired there and power supply to that facility resumed, it said.

However, militants shelled the area using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements at night, and the filtering station’s transformer suffered damages, the report said.

The sides agreed to cease fire so that repair teams could restore water supply, it said.

The damage done by attacks to lines transmitting electricity to Avdiyivka was reported on July 21.
