You're reading: Poroshenko says Ukraine saves Hr 45 billion due to e-procurement

VOLODYMYRETS - Ukraine has managed to save Hr 45 billion thanks to the introduction of an electronic procurement system, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“In an extremely short period we’ve saved Hr 45 billion of public funds due to the system of electronic purchases,” the president said, opening a hospital in Volodymyrets, Rivne region.

According to him, this saving is especially notable for the Defense Ministry, in which an e-procurement system was introduced with the help of volunteers.

“We buy portable radio sets – Hr 40 million remains, food – Hr 270 million remains, clothing, new military uniform – Hr 120 million. And this is a higher quality, more powerful and non-corrupt country,” the head of state said.
