Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has instructed the Ministry of Finance and the State Fiscal Service to study the issue of Ukraine's accession to the convention on access to the accounts of non-residents.

According to the press service of the head of state, Poroshenko made the order at a meeting with the representatives of the government, the parliament and the fiscal authorities on the development of legislative proposals in the field of de-offshorization.

“The president stressed that the first step should be Ukraine’s joining the international convention for providing Ukraine with access to the accounts of non-residents. The Ministry of Finance and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine should take necessary steps to ensure the signing and ratification of the relevant agreement, which will provide Ukrainian authorities with access to the accounts of residents in foreign banks,” the presidential press service said.
