You're reading: OSCE special envoy: Amnesty issue in Donbas postponed

MINSK - The political subgroup of the Contact Group on settlement of the conflict in Donbas has delayed the discussion on the amnesty issue until its next meeting, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group on the implementation of the peace plan in the east of Ukraine Martin Sajdik told reporters in Minsk on May 18.

Sajdik said that the political subgroup had continued detailed discussion on the modality of elections, and the talks on amnesty had been delayed until a next meeting.

He also said that the economic subgroup in Minsk had continued to discuss the payment for water supplies.

The coordination of repair work and infrastructure restoration had also been discussed, the OSCE special envoy said. First and foremost, this concerned electric power lines, gas pipelines, rail tracks, Sajdik said.
