MOSCOW - The meeting in the 'Normandy format' on the level of foreign ministers of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine is not intended on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said in an interview with Interfax.

Replying to a question whether the ‘Normandy format’ could convene in New York next week taking into consideration that all ministers will be in one place, Gatilov said: “It is not yet planned.”

However, he said, the participation in the ministerial quartet of the international mediators [Russia, the United States, the EU, UN] of the Middle East settlement is on the agenda of Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and it will be a traditional ministerial meeting of the quartet.
