Kyiv's Solomiansky district court has arrested funds placed on deposit subaccounts of Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Onyschenko in Latvian bank Trasta komercbanka and arrested accounts of Rexlord Systems and Ostexpert Limited affiliated with him opened in Latvian PrivatBank and Trasta komercbanka.

The funds were arrested under a request of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

“To arrest funds placed on deposit subaccounts one and two opened in LAS Trasta komercbanka, SWIFT: KBRBLV2X, legal address MIESNIEKU IELA 9, Riga, LV-1050 (Latvia), Person Three,” investigating judge of Solomiansky district court Alla Demydova said in a ruling dated July 28, 2016 posted in the public ruling register.

According to the document, the ruling to arrest the assets is to be urgently executed.

The ruling of the investigating judge can be appealed within five days from the moment of its announcement in Kyiv’s court of appeals.

“If the ruling of the investigating judge was issued without calling a person that would challenge it, the term for challenging the ruling starts from the day when the copy of the ruling is received,” reads the document.

The name of Onyschenko is not mentioned in the ruling. The document describes the materials of the criminal case opened over the embezzlement of funds under joint operation agreements with public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia. The damage caused to the state is around UAH 3 billion. Onyschenko is suspected of organizing this scheme.

The press service of NABU told Interfax-Ukraine that this concerns Onyschenko and the arrest of his accounts.
