You're reading: Kuchma leaves for Minsk to attend trilateral contact group meeting

Leonid Kuchma, former president of Ukraine, who represents Ukraine in the trilateral contact group on the settlement of the situation in Donbas, has left for Minsk to attend a meeting of the group, his press officer Darka Olifer said.

“Leonid Kuchma has left for Minsk,” she told Interfax on Friday morning.

Yevhen Marchuk, Ukraine’s representative in the subgroup on security of the contact group on Donbas, earlier said members of the group intend to reach an agreement on the principles of the troops withdrawal from the contact line on areas 2×2 km in size at the August 26 meeting.
