MOSCOW - Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov exchanged opinions on the situation in eastern Ukraine in a brief meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said.

“It [the meeting between Surkov and Nuland] was not expected to yield any results, it was a brief exchange of opinions,” Peskov told reporters on May 18.
