You're reading: Industrial production in Ukraine 3.5 percent up in April

Industrial production in Ukraine in April 2016 increased by 3.5 percent compared to the same month of 2015, while in March the figure was at 4.8 percent, in February at 7.6 percent, the State Statistics Service has said.

According to a new reporting form, adjusted to the effect of calendar days, industrial production in April increased by 3.7 percent from April last year, while in March by 4.2 percent, in February by 4.9 percent.

In general, in the first four months of this year growth in industry remained at 3.7 percent.

The service said industrial production in April fell by 3.4 percent compared to March this year, but taking into account the seasonal factor it remained unchanged.

The service said the decline in January-April 2015 from January-April 2014 was 20.6 percent, while in general for the last year industrial production in Ukraine was down by 13.4 percent, in 2014 by 10.1 percent, in 2013 by 4.7 percent, and in 2012 by 0.5 percent.
