You're reading: Estonian government decides to liberalize flights with Ukraine

The Estonian government has decided to lift restrictions for the number of airlines and routes in flight connection with Ukraine.

According to a posting on the Estonian government’s website, the issue was discussed at a government meeting on May 19.

The agreement on organization of flight connections between the countries was signed in 1993.

Earlier it was reported that Estonia’s Nordic Aviation from May 27, 2016 in conjunction with Adria Airways will start operating direct flights on the Tallinn-Odesa-Tallinn route. flights will be operated weekly on Saturdays with departure from Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport at 15:30, from Odesa International Airport at 18:20 local time.

Flights on Wednesdays will be added in the period from June 22 to August 24. The flight duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Adria Airways also flies from Kyiv to Tallinn.

The panel of the State Aviation Service in late November 2015 recommended that Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is assigned for regular flights from Kyiv to Tallinn.
