You're reading: EBRD announces tender for consultant for Ukraine’s public private partnership concept

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a tender to attract a consultant as part of providing technical assistance to draw up a modern public private partnership concept via the improvement of Ukrainian legislation.

The press service of the Infrastructure Ministry, the technical task is intended to design the policy and legal conditions for public private partnership/concession in Ukraine and expand the participation of private entities in infrastructure projects. The new public private partnership/concession policy and legislative base for the implementation of projects in Ukraine would be drawn up and approved.

“The new document would trigger the development of concession in Ukraine and make this type of public private cooperation beneficial for all participants. Business has been waiting for this law for a long period of time, and the work aims at quickly drafting the measure and presenting it in 2016,” the ministry said.
