Naftogaz Ukrainy has stated Gazprom continues to block virtual reverse, and that it is awaiting the decision on the dispute from the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in early 2017, director for business development at Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko has said.

“Gazprom is blocking virtual reverse, refusing to provide us with the so-called shipper code pairs. But we won’t tolerate this. We have already filed a lawsuit against Gazprom to the Stockholm arbitration. We expect the decision at the beginning of next year,” he wrote on his blog on Facebook.

“At the same time, we insist on holding negotiations on the matter with the assistance of the European Commission,” the Naftogaz representative added.

Vitrenko clarified that the refusal to provide shipper codes means the refusal to transfer to European rules of relations between the gas transportation operators of Ukraine and in Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and Poland.
