KLM Royal Dutch Airlines – one of the world leaders in air transportation – is continuing with charity projects in Ukraine.

This year KLM in Ukraine implemented a new CSR project and supported the center of social and psychological rehabilitation in Kopyliv village, Makariv district, Kyiv region. The institution specializes in homelessness prevention and social rehabilitation of minors in difficult life situations.

The financial support was spent for the reconstruction of the playground. The new sport playground “Leader” was installed in the center together with a children’s slide and swing. This playground is modern and similar to those that are placed in the parks of the big cities. It’s not a secret that state budget funds are not enough for the survival of orphanages and centers, and charity support of different companies is valuable to improve the children’s quality of lives.

Around 25 children aged 3-17 years old live now in the center. The experienced educators try to create the favorable conditions, close to home, to enhance emotional, intellectual and physical development of the children. The gift from KLM in Ukraine will help the staff of the center to conduct the medical, psychological, social and pedagogical education of the children.

It’s not the first KLM Royal Dutch Airlines charity project in Ukraine. Last year the representative office provided children’s bicycles to the three Ukrainian orphanages.
